Before joining Sodexo I never thought about how different the culture could be between companies and how much a positive working environment could influence your working life.
When I left my previous company, I took the time to think about my needs and expectations from an employer, as well as what I was willing and capable of contributing. It became clear to me that, at that particular stage in my life, it was crucial to work in an environment where I could effectively apply my knowledge, continuously learn, and further develop my skills within an inspiring setting.
In my view, employees are the core of any organization. The team is the heartbeat, and the culture is what makes everyone in the team want to work for each other. I am pleased to now work in a company that has that culture and where the company itself takes steps to promote that feeling of teamwork.
In our team, there is a culture of trust and teamwork and there is no difference in the value of contributions made between management and the wider team. Everyone's opinion is considered.
Since joining Sodexo in 2020, I have come to appreciate the remarkable community and culture that exists here and I am happy to count myself as part of the Sodexo team.
I am proud to have worked hard and used the opportunities offered to me to become the first female FM manager in Oman. It’s a role that I love, and I hope to progress my career here.
